Giving Thanks!

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, and I have so much to be thankful for. I have really great owners that make sure I'm happy, healthy, and safe. They rarely get mad when I lick the cream cheese off their bagel that has been left unattended on their desk, or jump across their keyboard when they are working on an important project.

I always have plenty of food in my bowl, and great places to sleep during the day. One of my favorite places is front and center on the counter inside the store. This way I maximize the amount of people "paying attention" to me and telling me what a cute kitty I am.

Make sure as you celebrate this special day with those closest to you, that you let them know just how thankful you are that they are a part of your life. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Freezing my fur off

Brrrr...this weather is down right chilly, even with a fur coat on. I try to make the best of it by spending more time sleeping in the sunny spots in the garden.

However, my favorite thing this time of year is enjoying a warm cup of hot cocoa. Here's one of my favorite recipes. Enjoy! I'd love to try some new recipes for hot chocolate if anyone would like to share theirs.

Ms. Bones Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:
8 oz white chocolate, chopped
3 1/2 cups milk
6 hard peppermint candies, crushed fine
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
2/3 cup whipping cream

Preparation:Beat chilled cream with crushed mints until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate for about an hour. Meanwhile, heat milk to a simmer, them mix in chocolate. Whisk until chocolate is melted and smooth. Add mint extract and stir through. Pour into mugs and top with minty whipped cream. Serves 4

Rainy Days

Oh, I love rainy days! Besides the fact that it gives me yet another reason to sleep all day, it's also a great time to catch the rain. I sit on my window sill and watch the rain barrel outside fill to it's brim.

I think too many people take water for granted. We need to remember that it's not an endless resource, and the more we can conserve it, the better our future will be. I do my part by bathing myself with my tongue and drinking from puddles. What are you doing to conserve??

Lucky Cat

I do believe that I am the luckiest cat in the world. I live in a place called paradise! Actually, it's Wakoola Water Gardens in Cumming, Georgia but at this time of year it sure feels like paradise.

Come take a look for yourself....the gardens are alive with brillant fall colors and you won't believe the ponds and waterfalls filled with colorful koi fish. I could sit and watch them for hours, especially when I'm hungry. Meow!!

Don't forget to vote!

Unlike most of you, I don't get a chance to vote for our next president on November 3rd. Unless you count Ohio, where a nice young man from A.C.O.R.N. was kind enough to write me in as a registered voter. This is sure to be one of the most memorable elections in history, so get out and VOTE!
